Under AED 1,000: short trips and first scooters
Pick the KuKirin S1 Pro at AED 900 if you ride a few kilometres to the Metro or around your community. Its 30 km range covers a week of short trips on one charge. The Kugoo Kirin S3 saves AED 150 but has a smaller 6Ah battery. The Wind Horse C2 has larger 12.5-inch wheels, which feel steadier on rough paving.
AED 1,000–2,000: the sweet spot for daily commuting
The KuKirin M4 Pro at AED 1,500 is our best all-rounder: 500W, a 48V 18Ah battery with up to 70 km range, a 150 kg rider limit and a detachable seat. If range matters more than weight, the KuKirin C1 Pro stretches to a claimed 100 km and adds a front basket. The Kugoo S5 Pro suits riders who want more power, with a 1200W motor.
AED 2,000–3,500: seats, comfort and longer range
This band is for longer commutes and heavier riders. The Kugoo F3 Pro Max offers up to 95 km and a 135 kg rider limit. The KuKirin G2 Max adds a wide seat and shock absorption for comfort over distance. The Kugoo M6 Plus pairs a 1000W motor with a removable seat and a 130 kg limit.
Above AED 3,500: performance and off-road
These are enthusiast machines. The KuKirin G3 Pro uses two 1200W motors for grip and climbing. The KuKirin G4 brings a 2000W motor, 11-inch pneumatic tyres and 185 mm ground clearance for rough ground. The Kugoo LX11 Plus has the biggest battery in our range, 60V 31.2Ah, for a claimed 160 km. Their top speeds are for private land and off-road use; on Dubai’s public tracks the limit is 20 km/h.
How to choose
- Range: take your round trip and double it. Heat, hills, speed and rider weight all cut real-world range below the claim.
- Rider weight: check the max load. Most budget models stop at 120 kg; the KuKirin M4 range and Kugoo LX11 Plus take 150 kg.
- Tyres: 10-inch and larger pneumatic tyres ride far better on Dubai’s interlock paving than 8-inch tyres.
- Seat: a seat helps on longer rides. One rider only; carrying a passenger is a AED 300 fine.
- Brand: torn between the two biggest ranges? Read our Kugoo vs KuKirin comparison.
- Weight: if you carry it upstairs or into an office, stay with the lighter commuters.
- The rules: you need a free RTA permit or a driving licence, and must be 16 or older. See our Dubai e-scooter rules guide.
